Orain astebete egin zuen berba Aita Santuak, eta bere hitzek polemika piztu dute munduan, batez ere islamiarrean, eta zazpi egunen ondoren jarraitzen du polemikak. XIV.mendean eginiko testu bat irakurri zuen, honakoa zioena: «Erakuts iezadazu Mahomak zer berrikuntza ekarri zuen, eta ikusiko dituzu soilik gauza gaiztoak eta gizagabeak, predikatzen zuen fedea ezpataren bidez zabaltzeko agindua kasu». Hitz horiek musulmanen gerra santurako deiekin alderatu zituen Benedikto XVI.ak.
Niri normala iruditzen zait gizartea horren kontra agertzea. Nahiz eta barkamena eskatu duen ez dut uste irakurgaia zuzen aukeratu zuenik. Bera oroitu dadila gaztetan zeren militante izan zen, eta horrek ez ote zuen munduari minik egin. Eta deabru deituko banizu?

Ongi da hausnarketa, egokia. Ba al dakizu gauzatxo bat? Aita Santua, guztiok bezala, gizaki hilkorra da, hezur mamizkoa, eta horregatik hanka sar dezake, oraintsu egin duen moduan. Diotenez, oso teologo ona da; baina horretara iritsi da kaleko estradetatik, gainerakook egiten ditugun huts berdinak eginda, alegia. Hil ere, guztion antzera egingo da: zalantzan; hain xuxen ere, teologiak deskubritzen ez dituen sekretu erraldoien erreparoan. Horixe da denon patua.
